Denver, Colorado, USA

Today I had an intense interview with World War Z veteran Todd Wainio. The interview was long as he recapped on one battle that was supposed to be the turning point in the war. It proved to be the exact opposite. He told me the military was supposed to hold the zombies in Yonkers, New York. The military wanted there to be millions watching so when they eradicated the zombies, it would restore peace. Yet, as Todd told me the story, I learned exactly what the military didn't want to happen, happend. Todd told me that the soldiers on the front line were equipped with the most high technological equipment there was. Hydra rocket pods, state of the art communication, tanks, humvees, and stingers. Everything they thought they needed to enaliate the zombies. As the zombies came in the shooting begun. Todd told me the scariest thing was when the zombies apperead through the cloud of smoke crawling, still alive. You would think the government would capture a zombie and do tests on them to see what works best before going againist an a group of zombies consisting of millions. So after the weapons failed it was the soldiers job to take them out. Todd told me this was hard because he had to aim for the head and that was hard because all his life he had been told to aim at the chest. The zombies then broke the line and started infecting soldiers. Todd was pulled out before he died. Lucky him. Instead of this day being rembered for a huge vitory, it is rembered for a great loss. Maybe next time there should be some reasearch done. Maybe that would have stopped this horrific day from ever happening. At least after this battle they knew they would have to take a totally different approach to win this war.

I agree with what you say in this blog. This interview was very interesting because this guy describes what Yonkers was like and how brutal it was there. I can't believe there was a bomb that would boil the insides of anyone who came in contact with.

I don't agree with you on the government testing the zombies for different ways to kill them. They already know that hitting them in the head, whether with a bullet or bat, works. The better solution would to be create different weapons that blows up the head. They could have easily run them over with tanks if they wanted to.
